by Tom Parker. 3 Years. Some may say that 3 years is not a long time, that it's not "the time" but for us, it is.
Today, 3 years ago ThemeParksBuzz started sharing news, updates and coverage of the theme park industry. ThemeParksBuzz started as an idea, the simplest of all. "Theme Park news and updates for every theme park around the world". Well, guess we did not cover every theme park around the world, but the most popular ones :) - Then, we evolved into something better, a blog. Just a simple way to share our thoughts on the Internet. I really had no idea; this simple idea of covering "The Buzz" of the theme park industry will turn into my job, my daily routine and my passion. I don't tend to express "feelings" or emotion around a simple idea of sharing theme park news, but this has become something more special than that. Every RT, Comment, Favorite, Like, Subscribe or just even a reply to a tweet, makes me feel that we are present on the media "hub". Someone took the time to respond to my thoughts and added something about them, and that's really special. I want this to be a big Thank you to you all. Theme Parks Buzz grows each day and I couldn't be thankful enough. I thank you all for the amazing 3 years we've had, and the years to come. Believe when I say, Great Things are on The Way. Thank you for being part of this idea, Thank you for supporting Theme Parks Buzz Thank you. By Tom Parker Its one of the biggest icons at the Disney Parks, but few actually know what meant the construction of it!
Space Mountain launched its first ride on January 15, 1975 at Magic Kingdom, the ride then became one of the top Disney attractions around the world, also one of the most popular among guests. The ride was built in 1977 at Disneyland Park. Have a look at this amazing construction photos of the first ever Space Mountain. By Jenn Parker Disneyland is once again celebrating an Anniversary, this time its for the 50th year of "It's a Small World" ride. Everything started when Walt Disney himself debuted at the New York's World Fair of 1964. “It’s a small world” was created by WED Enterprises (now Walt Disney Imagineering) as one of the four displays for this 1964 Fair. This attractions were early tests for a bigger project Disney was planning, to include this rides as part of Disneyland. The success of this rides, specially "it's a Small World" were incredible. For the '64 World Fair, Walt Disney called the Sherman Brothers, the songwriter and singer duo and future Disney Legends, to produce and write an amazing song to be the center of this ride. Walt, and the Sherman Brothers wanted to write a song with a message of peace, unity and hope. With this idea, the song became what it is today, one of the most beloved and remembered songs of Disney and all time. Disney liked the song so much that decided to call this new adventure "it's a Small World" Both Walt and his team were incredible shock of the amount of positive reviews the concept and design of the ride got, it was clear that the ride should be built for Disneyland. But the question was, how to develop the same experience but not copying what was already created?
After investing into its Universal Resort in Orlando, Florida, Comcast is increasing spending at Universal Studios Hollywood, unveiling a smattering of new attractions that — when combined with previously announced sections devoted to Harry Potter and “Despicable Me” — will remake 70 percent of the California park by 2016. When Universal Orlando opened the Wizarding World of Harry Potter four years ago, that resort went from an also-ran to a must-visit almost overnight. Year-on-year attendance shot up 30 percent as families swarmed the snow-capped shops of Hogsmeade and rode three Potter-themed rides. To prepare for a similar surge here — a Wizarding World will open at this hilltop park in 2016 — Comcast’s NBCUniversal is adding thousands of parking spaces, spending about $100 million to improve transit and planning two 500-room hotels. But those efforts are crumbs compared to what is planned inside the gates. gallery: Wizarding World Going to Hollywood 2011 AnnoucementWhat are you most Excited about Wizarding World of harry Potter Hollywood?
