“Festival of the Lion King,” the musical show that tells the tale of Simba through song, dance and aerial acrobatics, will return in a new location in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom this June. The show stopped the shows on its original theater to make way for Avatarland. The new Theater upgrades the show with new sets, new lightning and sound system and a longer seating area. Here’s a first look at what the new theater, which will be located in the left side of the Africa section, will look like. Take a look inside the theater as the Cast itself discovers it for the first time! By Jenn Parker USA Today had the opportunity to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley Expansion and discover the great adventures that are hidden behind the construction walls. The New land set to open this summer will bring guests to the exact places named on the books, also features new rides and adventures showed in the Series Films. The video below includes a walk through Diagon Alley with Universal Orlando Creative Director Thierry Coup of and Chef Steve Jaysen, showing off some of its highly detailed facades, window displays, and a sneak peek at the many flavors to be served at Florian Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour.
By Jenn Parker Have a look at the goblins that will be featured in Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, the groundbreaking main attraction that will be in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. The goblins are definitely one of my favorite things about the new ride. Once you’re inside Gringotts bank, you’ll actually walk through the main hall and see goblins hard at work counting money, writing notes — and even occasionally looking up to give you a not-so-friendly glance as you make your way through. By Tom Parker The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will bring even more of Harry Potter’s adventures to life – this time at Universal Studios Florida! Follow in Harry’s footsteps as you pass through the brick wall from London into the bustling, wizarding hub of Diagon Alley.

Your first footsteps into Pantopia will now lead you into the Entrance Plaza, complete with the first water feature to be constructed at Busch Gardens since the turn of the century.
By Nick Ilasi Big news is breakout all over the parks around Central Florida this past month. The most immediate change is with the FastPass+ system. There have been rumors going around for a few weeks that Disney would drop the 3 attraction limit and allow park hopping. Well, those rumors are about to become reality…sort of. Disney is taking the next steps to improve the system and I think it’s a good next step.
These changes got into effect on April 28, 2014. The following information come from our friends over at WDWMagic.com (click here for the original article) Disney’s Animal Kingdom is about to undergo the largest expansion in the park’s history. Among other exciting projects, the years ahead will see the addition of all-new entertainment experiences, including a new nighttime spectacular. “Rivers of Light” promises to be an innovative show unlike anything ever seen in Disney Parks, combining live music, floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery. The show will magically come to life on the broad, natural stage of the Discovery River, between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest, delighting guests and truly capping off a full day of adventures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The park will now joint the Night Time schedule at Walt Disney World. Disney will soon reveal the new working hours of the park. Celebrate the Grandest Tales and Tastes of Africa During Harambe Nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom5/4/2014 by Shawn Slater, Communications Manager, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Creative Entertainment Where were you when “The Lion King” came out in 1994? I was a tour guide at The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where several sequences featuring young Simba had been animated. It’s hard to believe, but this summer marks the 20th anniversary of that now-classic film. In honor of the epic tale of “The Lion King,” Disney’s Animal Kingdom is prepared to stage a special celebration event like no other. All begins with a Welcome Reception in the park’s Harambe Village, including mouth-watering appetizers and African-inspired wine and beer. Then it’s time for the ‘mane’ event! Take your seat inside the newly built Harambe Theatre for an unforgettable performance of “The Lion King – Concert in the Wild.” This all-new, never-before-seen theatrical experience features a live orchestra and choir, dancers, digitally projected movie moments, and dramatic lighting and scenic elements – all hosted by a celebrity guest narrator. The show brings to life the humor, heart, and stirring emotional power of Simba’s journey to find his place as the Lion King.
At a special dedication ceremony Celebrated May 2nd, 2014 at Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs announced that the “Crowning Jewel” of New Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, will officially open on May 28.
